This powerful documentary follows an HIV/AIDS dance group led by Anna Halprin in the late 1980s. It captures the brotherhood, the hope, the laughter and the tears of the dancers as they gather weekly over seven months to shape a dance of their stories. We see how, through dance, they are learning what it means to want to live positively and with affirmation, and how to share that desire with others. The emotionally charged workshops culminate in a poignant performance titled Carry Me Home. “Anyone who seeks to understand the power of the human spirit should see this video!” exclaimed Sandra Hernandez, former San Francisco director of public health.
